The opportunity to engage, equip, and empower, both coaches and athletes, has gripped Mike’s heart and soul. Jesus continues to lead and call him to new opportunities to share Christ with his community through FCA.

Mike is a husband to his beautiful wife of 23 years, a father of 4 amazing children: Skylar (23), Caitlyn (19) Aiden (14), and Caleb (10). He and his family are coaches and teachers at heart. Mike served his community for 22 years as a public servant- 7 years as a firefighter/EMT, and 15 years as a Police Officer.

Sports have been a major part of Mike’s life since he was little. After a High School career in football and wrestling, he entered college as a football athlete, but a knee injury ended Mike’s football career as a player. His passion for the game resurfaced as a coach to his children’s many sports. Mike spent 5 years as a tackle football coach for his older son’s teams, and a flag football and Jiu Jitsu coach for his younger son.

Mike has trained and competed in combat sports for the past 15 years, holding a brown belt in Shotokan Karate and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Mike understands the passion and dedication that comes with both parenting and coaching. He is a servant leader for Marked Men for Christ, Fight Club 414, as well as actively serving on the Men’s Ministry leadership team at his home church, CenterPointe Christian Church in Venice.
